2019-2020 Power Coaches (Rocklin)

AJ Mackin - Head Coach, 18 Gold.   

  • Currently in 4th season as assistant head coach at NAIA William Jessup University. Under head coaches Shasta Millhollin and AJ Mackin, William Jessup program has undergone dramatic turnaround in 3 short years.
  • Entering 3rd year as SFV girls' coach - 5th year as club coach.
  • Current SFV Boys 16-1 Head Coach.
  • Coached at Granite Bay High School from 2010-2016. 
  • Assistant coach of Granite Bay's 2016 SFL Section Champions, 2nd in NORCAL playoffs, finishing season ranked 13th in the country.

Nicolette Pinkney - Assistant Coach, 18 Gold.

  • This past club season for SFV, I coached the 14-Red team and was a coach for the beach volleyball program this summer.
  • Played at Granite Bay High School and was co-captain of the 2013 D1 State Championship team with a 45-0 record my senior year.
  • Played both indoor and beach volleyball at California State University Northridge (CSUN).
  • Graduated from CSUN in 2018 with a BA in Liberal Studies.
  • Currently pursuing my teaching credential and masters in teaching at William Jessup University and planning to be an elementary school teacher.

Travis Vincinzini - Head Coach, 17 Gold.

Morghan Pomeroy - Assistant Coach, 17 Gold.

  • Entering 5th season as SFV Coach
  • Current Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Varsity Head Coach
  • 10 years of coaching experience at the high school and club level with both boys and girls volleyball. 
  • Three years of collegiate volleyball at Sierra College and William Jessup University. 
  • Forest Lake Christian School Volleyball 1st team All-League two years in a row
  • Earned prestigious Outstanding Athlete Award.  
  • Third Degree Black Belt with the title of Sensei. 
  • Has a B.A. in Psychology from William Jessup University.

JON ARROW - Head Coach, 16 Gold.

  • Returning to SFV for his 4th season coaching.
  • Assisted 17 Gold (2016) & 13 Gold (2017) to top third finishes at AAU Nationals.
  • Led 14 Premier Black (2015) to a top 10 finish in NCVA Premier League. 
  • 4 year starting setter & player/coach at University of the Pacific Club team, ranked nationally all 4 years with 2 top-10 National Finishes
  • Varsity setter for Jesuit High School, twice named All League, All City, and Optimist All Star
  • Graduated UoP with a B.A. in Sports Management with a Minor in Business Administration.
  • Currently works for the Sacramento River Cats as a Corporate Sales Account Executive.

Rolando Taeza – Assistant Coach, 16 Gold.

  • Entering 10th season as SFV Head Coach.
  • 13 years of coaching experience with ages 11 to 17.
  • Coming off an impressive last 2 seasons finishing 13th in Power League with 14 Gold (2018) and 17th in Power League with 16 Gold (2019)
  • SFV’s Premier Director, Lead Coach at summer clinics, Youth and Training Academies.
  • He has played competitive adult volleyball for over 10 years.
  • Served in the United States Marine Corps and served as a reservist for the Army National Guard, Air Force Reserve and is a disabled veteran.
  • Currently works Complaint Investigations, Probation, and Case Management with 29 years tenure.

Kami Kazel - Head Coach, 16 Black.

  • Entering 3rd season as SFV Coach.
  • Current Head Coach for Whitney High School Varsity
  • Fifteen plus years coaching, including Kingsburg High School, Head Coach for Center High School, varsity coaching staff at Del Oro High School.
  • Has played competitive volleyball since the age of 12, including club level through college.
  • Graduated from Fresno State with a B.S. in Health Science, Sports Medicine.

Madisyn Donnels - Assistant Coach, 16 Black .

  • Entering 2nd season as SFV Coach.
  • Freshman coach at Roseville High School.
  • Has seven years of volleyball experience. SFV Alumna.
  • Won the Girls D1 California State Championship in 2013.
  • Currently attending Sierra College with the intent of transferring to UC Davis to pursue her B.S. in Psychology.

Scott Kjorlien - Head Coach, 14 Gold.

  • Entering 2nd Season as SFV Coach
  • Has played competitively on grass, sand, and court for over 15 years
  • Played as starting Libero for Cal Poly Volleyball Club
  • 2008 CIF North Coast Section Champion
  • 2008 All East Bay Libero
  • B.S. Anthropology/Geography, Cal Poly SLO
  • M.P.A. Environmental Science & Policy, Columbia University
  • Currently works in CA Energy Policy

Emily Dzubak - Assistant Coach, 14 Gold

  • Entering second club coaching season, first with SFV

  • Current American River College Assistant Coach

  • Former American River College libero: lead the state in digs/digs per set for back to back years, two time Big 8 first team selection, named to All Northern California team

  • Former DS/L at Fresno State University: helped lead Fresno State to first post season appearance in 15 plus years, led team in serve percentage and had a .929 serve reception percentage 

  • Recent graduate from Fresno State with a bachelor’s degree in Criminology

  • Currently employed by Princeton University, on a research project, housed in the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office

Taylor Jacky - Assistant Coach, 13 Gold.

  • Entering fourth season of coaching, first year as SFV Coach.
  • Four years of National level club volleyball in Sacramento, ended career at Gold Cal Jrs.
  • River City High school MVP three years in a row. All conference MVP 2016, Tri-County player of
    the year 2015-2016, and Optimist team MVP in 2016.
  • Played for USA Junior National team in 2017.
  • Ranked 16 in the nation in the USA National Collegiate program as a libero in 2019.
  • Outside hitter/Defensive specialist at William Jessup University and ranked 10 th in aces and 4 th in
    digs in the GSAC during 2018 season.
  • Pursuing a degree in Biology with an emphasis on Marine life with the goal of getting a Masters
    in research.

Leila Whaley - Head Coach, 13 Black.

  • JV head coach at Granite Bay High School
  • Coached Granite Oaks Middle School 8th-grade boys’  and girls’ teams
  • Coached SynergyForce’s 13 premier red girls’ team in 2019
  • Played at Sacramento City college, American River College, and out-of-state at Bethany College in Kansas and Henderson State in Arkansas
  • Won conference two years in a row at ARC
  • Played all-around as a setter and right side hitter
  • Currently in pursuit of her master’s and teaching credential in special education and working as a para-educator at a special needs school

Uriah Villa - Assistant Coach, 13 Black

Sheri Millhollin - Head Coach, 12 Gold.

  • Sheri is a second-year coach here at Synergy Force. Last year Coach Sheri‘s 12 Gold team moved into the Gold and ended up finishing 11th overall in the Power division. 
  • Sheri is a veteran, high energy coach with 34 years of High School Volleyball and Club volleyball coaching throughout the Sacramento area. 
  • In addition to high school experience, Sheri has spent the last 5 years assisting at the collegiate level with William Jessup University and currently assists at Fresno Pacific University. Her other hobbies include coaching boys basketball, working out and planning family parties. 

Sara Tiche - Assistant Coach, 12 Gold
