Summer Athletic Training

Summer Athletic Training is here! Twice a week in June, Weights & Speed/Agility Training will be run by SFV National Head Coach Rheann Fall and SFV program coaches. All programs are developed by Rheann Fall and Athletic Trainer James Todd. We encourage athletes to participate in both weight training and speed & agility training if they meet the age requirement to do so!

Speed and Agility Training

What is it?

Speed and Agility Training is a high speed training program intended to increase foot speed, fast muscle twitch, and reaction time. The athletes will participate in a circuit style, high intensity workout in a group setting.

Who can participate?

Everyone 10 years of age and older is welcome to participate in this program. You do not have to be a current Synergy athlete.

More Details

Mondays and Wednesdays in June 10:30 AM - 11: 30 AM. Training will be held at the SFV practice facility (10050 Foothills Blvd, Roseville, CA 95747). The cost for the month of June is $160 per athlete. Dates are offered on an individual basis.

Weight Training

What is it?

Weight Training involves the performance of physical exercises that are designed to improve strength and endurance using weights and resistance. We are offering two different options for weight training: Intro to Weights & Intermediate Weights. Intro to Weights will be focused on the safety of weight lifting, correct form, and low weight addition as form improves. Intermediate Weights will begin with a quick refresher regarding the safety and correct form of weight training but will be more focused on increasing stamina and strength. If your athlete is new to lifting weights, please be sure to register them for the introductory class.

Who can participate?

All athletes that are 14 years of age and older are eligible to to participate in this program. You do not have to be a current Synergy athlete.

More Details

All weight training will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays in June. Intro to Weights will be 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM and Intermediate Weights will be 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM. The weight training programs are sold as a month-long package. Due to the need to build on previous classes, we cannot sell these as "a la carte" dates. You may opt to start on June 10th or 17th if your school is still in session in the mornings of early June
